CIBSE Yorkshire region Student prizewinners for academic year 2008/09
Two Students attending local colleges were awarded with a CIBSE gift voucher for their studies on the HNC Building Services Engineering. Their tutors nominated them for their awareness of the profession to gain such accademic success to warrant being proposed for a prize.
The awards were presented at the CIBSE Yorkshire region Annual Dinner held at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on the 20 November 2009.
The awards were named after two influencial Yorkshire Region Engineers:
The Norman Fincher award went to Victoria Shakleton who attended Leeds college of Building for her sudies on the HNC Building Services Engineering Mechanical course.
The Wilf Durkin award was presented to Mark Schofield who attended Leeds College of Technology for his studies on the HNC Building Services Engineering Electrical course.
Both students were selected by the regions committee for their sustained effort through out the course and considerable personal development.
