Simon joined the Committee in 2004, and has carried out a number of roles before becoming Chair in 2009.
Simon takes an active role in CIBSE being a member of the Healthcare sector group and is also one of the Regions interviewers for the professional review.
He is also a registered mentor with the IET and sits on their Professional Development Operations Committee, which accredits Companies Accredited professional development schemes.
He leads the building services group of Buro Happold’s Leeds office and has 25 years experience in the industry

Mark joined the committee in 2009 having been an active CIBSE member in the region for many years.
He is a true multi disciplined building services engineer and registered low carbon consultant who has worked in consulting, facilities management and contracting for 20+ years.
This broad spectrum of experience is used in day to day work to ensure best value design, right from concept stage.
Over the last few years he has offered technical support and mentoring assistance, to University's, Colleges and schools, on a range of interesting educational projects.
Many of these projects have been based around Low energy design and low impact environmental solutions.
He is keen to retain and strengthen these links with educational institutions.
At home, he continues to embrace the principles of low carbon technologies by using some of the most effective solutions.
