Join us to gain an insight about Forensic Engineering and how the use of Building Simulation can be used to develop better solutions for your clients.
Cathie Simpson, (Vice-President CIBSE and Director of Building Simulation Ltd) will be presenting for us and discussing how a range of complementary analysis techniques can be combined to identify ways to reduce costs, energy use and increase occupant comfort within the buildings you design.
Cathie will be discussing a case study about a refurbishment exercise on an existing shopping centre to improve comfort and reduce energy which included simulation, on-site monitoring, utilisation of a partial set of wind tunnel measurements and pre-test of remedial measures with full scale mock up out of hours to achieve the desired results.
As well as explaining the case study, Cathie will be bringing it to life by showing some of her test equipment including a thermal imaging camera so it promises to be an interesting session.
