Student Research Conference

An open invite from Alan Newall of Leeds Beckett University on behalf of the students on the courses there:

“Our Building Services Engineering students would like to invite you to attend their annual research conference, to be held at the University in December.

Each student will be presenting a research paper, on a topic of their own choosing, in part fulfilment of their final year degree award.

Topics this year include: LED lighting applications, heat pumps, daylight analysis, natural ventilation & air quality, PV solar applications and building control strategies. 

The event will comprise 10 minute student presentations, followed by Q & A sessions, and is expected to last for no more than 3 hours.  You are cordially invited to join our students for liquid refreshments immediately following their presentations!

It was a great afternoon, not least because of the work that everyone had put in to their research, but also the sheer range of subjects that there was chance to learn about and the enthusiasm being shared.Room 116
