The talk will give an overview of the problem of hospital acquired infection and airborne transmission routes and discuss how engineering approaches such as ventilation design and disinfection devices can play a key role in tackling infection. The presentation will include a range of examples from research activities within the Pathogen Control Engineering Institute (PaCE) at the University of Leeds.
